hmm, for those who know me ALOHA! for those who may not, just yet, Hiya!! Residing in Hawaii enjoying the sun sand and surf been a bit busy raising whats left of my children while working and attending school. BUT no matter how busy life gets... there's always time for family and friends~

A little something about me:
When the sun is blazing and i have some free time... the beach is my sanctuary~ Yup I am a sun worshiper! I absolutely love the sounds of the ocean crashing on the sand, squeezing grains of sand between my toes, and feeling the suns rays simmering my flesh. This is my slice of heaven here in paradise... and right when it feels like I can take no more heat the cool salty water calls out, "come, come on in." First and foremost i have to admit, I am a water baby! Love to swim, splash, dive, snorkel, boogie board, surf, and play beach football.. of course eventually we have to eat, and food always tastes better at the beach so a BBQ is a must! HAHA!! With family and friends time spent at the beach is always a rejuvenating experience for the soul~

The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (Orig. Nils Holgerssons underbara resa genom Sverige) is a famous work of fiction by the Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf, published in two parts in 1906 and 1907. The background for publication was a commission from the National Teachers Association in 1902 to write a geography reader for the public schools.

"She devoted three years to Nature study and to familiarizing herself with animal and bird life. She has sought out hitherto unpublished folklore and legends of the different provinces. These she has ingeniously woven into her story." (From translator Velma Swanston Howard's introduction.)

Selma Lagerlöf, like many leading Swedish intellectuals of her time, was a friend of Swedish spelling reform. When published in 1906, this book was one of the first to adopt the new spelling mandated by a government resolution on April 7, 1906 (see Svenska Akademiens Ordlista under History).

then we can toast and celebrate for a few weeks before i have to do it again in january

Steve how old are u? ur sounding like a 12 year old who has too much homework these days

islandgrl lets see if this makes sense... to graduate with 2 bachelors and a certificate next may i have to finish up the last requirements. for sociology i have a senior project with is a 30 page paper and presentation based on research of a theory i choose. for CSAAS i have a senior practicum which is basically training on site at a location i choose for a year so i can get lisenced to practice. then next semester i have another senior project (paper) for psychology and im done!

well, done with this level anyway.. Im thinking maybe a Masters in family counseling? if im not dead by then, might push for the PHD. i dunno yet. still a work in progress. Good news i got a location for my practicum! am too excited for words.. which i may eat later, but for now am well thrilled to be so close to the end!

Heres the breaksown of my time, part time employee, part time student, part time volunteer, full time parent. ON weekends, full time relaxing on the beach! have to make time to smell the ocean

Steve 8h a day ... sleep, 2h a day ... brushing hair ... u know where you can save time ... shave head and get 2 dogs

islandgrl ha ha ha your halarious! Shave vanahs head? not likely. and dogs only make more of a mess then we already have, no thanks!

islandgrl I wasnt being literal.. more descriptive of our hectic lives then the decor of our house. I'm awake at 4am most weekdays trying to squeeze in more research time before work. Most nights I'm lucky to get to bed by midnight, between homework and my boyfriend I'm lucky to sleep 4 hours a night! and I barely have time to see Vanah with all her activities let alone take care of a dog. soz Steve Ill have to pass on that idea as i just have no energy left for one more being.
